Keto & Diabetic BLT Jar Salad

Hello Family! I hope you enjoy jar salads as much as I do. We have posted this salad in the past and it was a big hit! However due to my eating changes I was looking for something a little more keto friendy. So I made it lower carb and a low  sugar.  The old recipe has 295 calories, 12 carbs and 9 grams of sugar. I made one change. I switched out my Kraft Honey Dijon for my own homemade dressing. That brought the recipe down to 263 calories, 7 carbs and 2 grams of sugar, making it much better for my Keto goals. Not bad for a lunch or dinner! So here goes…



New BLT In A Jar Recipe

This is a revision of our old recipe.  (I will put a link back to the original underneath)

  • 2 Tbsp Homemade Dijon Dressing ((I have included recipe on page))
  • 4 Slices Tomato
  • 3 Strips Turkey Bacon
  • 1/4 Cup Fat-Free Cheese
  • 2 Cups Lettuce
  • 1 Hard boiled Egg
  1. Put 2 Tbsp dressing on bottom, then add 4 tomato slices. Place your 3 slices of turkey bacon in your microwave for 3 minutes then slice your bacon into small pieces and add to your jar. Then goes your 1/4 cup of shredded cheddar. slice your hard boiled egg on top of that and then goes your lettuce. Screw on your lid and you are finished! Place in your refrigerator until you are ready to use.

    Recipe can be doubled, tripled,ect..Make enough for a day or a week!

    Only 263 calories per jar!


Homemade Honey Dijon Mustard Sauce

  • 1/2 Cup Sour Cream (I used regular lowfat had more carbs)
  • 1/4 Cup Water
  • 1/4 Cup Honey Dijon Mustard (I used French's)
  1. Mix everything together in a bowl and stir. You can also use a Bullet or Ninja or just a plain old blender.

This will make 8 servings of 2 Tbsps.
